The dark baritone voice penetrates from the depths of the dark, drifting nights, breathing into the listening ears and closed lids, sometimes with a breath and then again alienated from the vocoder, sometimes in a falsetto. We're talking about Matthias Propach's voice, aka taktaktak.

The bedroom producer from Leipzig creates his songs with drum computers, dreamy basslines, excessive junopads, washed-out guitars and his gentle voice, which tells about the big topics in direct language and thus lends his music a mythical lightness. taktaktak's hypnotic sound structures reach for dreamless listeners and put them in a trance-like state until the last sound wave dissolves into infinity.

The rehearsal room in the west of Leipzig, which had been converted into a studio, became a second home for Matthias Propach. In 2019 he spent countless hours writing and recording new productions, which he then mixed with the help of Adam Lenox, the mastermind of the band "Lingua Nada". A small part of the created songs can now be heard in the “LastNight EP”. The lyrics are about grief, loss, loneliness and difficult relationships. Instead of ending in moody ballads, Propach instead presents the break with his own lethargy and depression through pop songs that fuse irony and melancholy. Further EPs are planned to be released in the coming months!
